Team of white horsesDo you feel like life is disappointing you? Like you need some support and don’t know where to turn.

Iā€™m back in Oakley for a few days. Trying to sell some stuff and packing more stuff. I brought John back and we both agree that weā€™re tired of packing boxes. It will be so much less stressful when I feel like Iā€™ve gotten everything moved out of the house and we can put it on the market.

Iā€™m so fortunate that I have John to support me in this. Iā€™m not sure how I would have gotten everything done without his help.

This weekend while we were here, he had a friend whoā€™s been talking about ending his life. He asked me how he should respond to his texts. He has another friend who has gotten help with both voluntary and involuntary holds in psychiatric units. When John told me about this friend, I said thank goodness he knows and is willing to reach out for help.

So, I told John to suggest to the first friend to go to the local emergency department. John canā€™t do much from over 300 miles away and is not trained to deal with this situation. And as much training as I have if I felt like someone was suicidal, I would take them to an ER.

When life gets stressful and overwhelming, we may feel like weā€™re lacking support. In reality, support is usually all around us. We need to open our eyes and hearts to it. Sometimes we get stuck in feeling like asking for help is a sign of weakness. It is not, itā€™s a sign of strength and knowing ourselves and our limits.

In your life is it unusual for you to reach out for help? The horses and I are here to help you. We can help in many ways. Click the button below for more information on the Caregivers Circle starting July 15. I also offer one-to-one sessions with the horses. Connect with me here to learn more.

I Wonā€™t Let Go.
