Lessons from Nature and Community

I love to wake up to the birds singing. The last few nights it has been cool enough to sleep with open windows. When I go to sleep there is a cacophony of sound, crickets, frogs, and a few of the cows had their calves weaned so they are calling for them. The animals are so resilient.

Resilience is a trait I know something about. Bouncing back from the things in life that may have stopped me in my tracks. There have been many things – caregiving and the loss of my husband, breast cancer, and the whole 2020 debacle. These things slowed me down. I won’t let them stop me.

The Power of Gestalt

man and horseOne of the things that has helped me was the Touched By A Horse® Gestalt training. And my horses have been helping me my whole life even when I didn’t see it.

It feels like one big loving family to be a part of the Touched By A Horse program. A place where I can be authentic and not be judged. A place where people understand the workings of other people’s temperaments. I never thought I’d build this kind of relationships, especially with other women because I’ve always been surrounded by men.

I saw how relationships with his doctors helped Mike. Those doctors who gave a snippet of their personal lives made him feel more comfortable. He’d listen and follow their directions better. Mike also liked to tell stories. He always had more of a connection with the doctors who would listen.

Resilient Teams for Better Outcomes

2 horses greetingTeams become more resilient when they understand each other better. Knowing their temperament builds better relationships because we can see how others receive and distribute information. Understanding can build compassion for yourself and others.

Teams will face challenging situations and conditions can change quickly. Buoyancy in your team brings them to quicker, better outcomes.

Having strong relationships is one of the keys to resilience. They can help prevent agitation and improve synergy. In turn, this can help your team work more smoothly and projects get done on time and within budget.

Building and maintaining resilient teams, whether they be work or personal, offers many perks. The herd at Serenity Ranch assist you. Click the button below to talk about how they can work with your team.
