horse's eyeWould you like to bring more mindfulness to your group? When I was on the Chamber of Commerce board and working in Tourism, we would take a couple of days out for a planning retreat. The ones that come to mind for me were facilitated by someone who had expertise in a certain area.

We would get together in a place where we wouldnā€™t be disturbed out of town. The Chamber retreat may have only been one day, the tourism one was an overnight. We did a lot of bonding overnight as we stayed in a BnB and there might have been some adult beverages involved.

At the Chamber retreat, the facilitator was there to support us in our planning. If I remember correctly this was all we did. The idea was to have a plan for the year, so we werenā€™t rolling around like tumbleweeds blowing everywhere until something stopped us.

The tourism retreat had components of learning about ourselves as individuals and as a group. This type of activity can help your teams work better together. They can see where one team might be setting the next up for failure or success for the next. They can also help in oneā€™s personal life.

Last year I was licensed in Equine Facilitation through Touched By A HorseĀ®. The day includes some fun activities with the horses that bring awareness, team building, and leadership skills.

Woman and two horsesThe PlayShops can be for companies large or small, non-profits, families, or any group that would like to deepen their mindfulness and connection. It can help the group slow down and win the race including all team members to their fullest potential.

As a part of your team, we will work together as we plan how to bring what is needed for your groupā€™s highest good. Then the group will experience a day with the horses facilitated by me. The horses are listeningā€¦are you?
