I’ve been feeling rather nostalgic lately. It probably has something to do with the holidays.
Then this came up in my memories on FaceBook. I posted the following on December 31, 2017 along with the picture at the right.
As I have for the last 4 years I came into the holiday season feeling grateful for my family. It was a tough summer and fall for Mike and on Nov 10 I was diagnosed w/ breast cancer. Looking forward to a bright shiny 2018. Onward!
For those of you who have read my blog and followed my story you know what a roller coaster the last two years have been.
After two surgeries for the breast cancer and chemo while caregiving for Mike I lost him the day after my last chemo treatment. I had to find some friends to go to Kansas City with me while I finished radiation treatments and then I had John’s senior year in high school.
Now that he’s off at Kansas University I have many new opportunities before me. Next week I’m starting a program to deepen my training in Gestalt. I’m very excited about this. If you’d like to read more it starts here.
I’m finishing up some long overdue paperwork that has been holding me back. And, most importantly, I’m starting my Equine Gestalt Coaching practice.
At the end/beginning of every year we are encouraged to look back at the past year and look forward to the new year. The idea being that you take a look at those things that you have completed, how you spent your time, and take a look at anything that you haven’t yet completed to see if you want to carry it into the new year.
Then you look at the coming year. What would you like to complete? When would you like to complete them? What are your intentions? What action steps can you take now to get a start on them?
