As I awaken from a deep sleep this morning, Iām full of uncertainty. My heart is telling me one thing and my head is telling me something else.
Our personalities reveal how we should make decisions. My heart is what is best for me to follow.
I will go out to be with the horses and they will reveal my authenticity. They have a way of revealing the truth.
Last week I was explaining to a new friend how horses help me with coaching. I said they can tell when a person is standing in their truth. When they are speaking from their body and their heart. They can feel our energy and know if it is matching our innermost feelings.
For instance, a few years ago I was working on a big decision. I had talked through it with my coach, and she put me in the round pen with Ruby so I could have the experience locked in.
I had some conflict around this decision. My heart was telling me one thing and my head and fear another. So, we had two sides to work with. I chose a side of the round pen for each side of the decision not knowing which was the correct one.
I talked to each side of the decision as Ruby watched. Finally, when I was standing on the side of fear and in my head facing the other, I felt Ruby get closer. I could feel her breath on my back. She was getting closer. I thought she was going to push me across to the other side. I stepped across and she followed me as if to say this is where you belong.
Ruby could feel where my heart really was. She was telling me to go with my heart. To move past the fear and logic.
When the horses coach with us the whole process is much deeper. They help to balance the energy in the round pen. They are truly healing beings.
They can help me see when a person is in their head, not their heart or body. They can show the person what their truth is. I once watched a horse tell a woman who was sick whenever she was at home that it was the house that was making her sick.
The horses have what Melisa Pearce calls their essential gift. Itās their healing of our souls and showing us the way.
