Last Wednesday I had my first yearly mammogram. They scheduled me for my next one next December, it was clear.

I have developed a minor complication of them taking lymph nodes. I have some lymphedema in my breast. They have been monitoring for it in my arm, but I didnā€™t know this was even a possibility. So now Iā€™m taking measures to combat this, and I must return sooner than anticipated.

As I was waiting to have labs drawn, I was reading an article about being busy and how it affects our health. One of the problems is that our hormones get out of whack.

Ringing the bell after my last chemo treatment

Prior to the cancer I had been seeing an acupuncturist regularly for a hormone imbalance. I was under a lot of stress with Mikeā€™s illnesses and we assumed that was the cause. When I told him that the cancer was hormone fed, he said no wonder everything was so wonky.

The article discussed how hormonal imbalances make you feel tired. How busyness could get your hormones out of whack, etc.

I never did feel very sick during treatment. I didnā€™t have as much energy as I had before, I sometimes had a touch of nausea, and I had achy joints, but they didnā€™t want me on any anti-inflammatories while I was on chemo. I wrote about manifesting health in June when I finished chemo and I still feel this way.

I also think I feel so good now because that hormonal imbalance has been regulated. I still want to sleep more than I did before, and I get tired a little earlier, but I feel fabulous.

One of the things we learned in the Equine Gestalt Coaching MethodĀ® training was about somatics. What it meant when someone said they had a stomach ache or had a constant movement of some part of their body. Their body is trying to tell them something.

Our bodies tell us things all the time we have trouble listening. We are busy until whatever our body is telling us turns into a scream that we canā€™t overlook anymore. It may stop us in our tracks, literally.

The horses perceive that energy in our bodies also. I have one mare who wants to work on my body all the time. They change the vibrations and energy that are creating stress.

Itā€™s my belief that the illnesses that show up are related to some emotional issues. This may be some sort of trauma, it may be shame, or it may be fear. If we allow ourselves to feel our emotions instead of hiding them, we will be much better.

I feel that by taking the Touched By A HorseĀ® program I was in the best emotional state I could have been to be diagnosed with breast cancer. I still have work to do and will continue to do it.

I will start practicing the EGCM method soon. If youā€™d like to learn more about it and know when I have a Grand Opening Demonstration sign up for the VIP list to the right.

Iā€™m Feeling Stronger Every Day.

Onward! Moving Forward
