Mostly my chemotherapy has been easy. Yes, there has been some fatigue and aches and pains. And the hair loss and now regrowth has been interesting, it’s coming back in white.

But why has it been so easy? I feel like a big part of that is because I was relatively healthy to start with. I’ve always had a great immune response.

I remember my junior high science teacher telling us he doesn’t get sick. He tells himself that and doesn’t get sick. Probably the most useful thing I learned in his class.

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer my first response was to get recommendations from a couple of Mike’s doctors at KU of who they would have their wives see. Then I set about not being sick.

Ringing the bell after my last chemo treatment

I looked at the diagnosis as a lesson the Universe had for me. Once learned my intention is to wrap it up with a bow and send it back to the Universe, not to be sick.

So, my mindset has always been that I’m healthy and I happen to have been diagnosed with breast cancer.

I believe this is why I’ve had such an easy time with treatment.

A huge shout out to my entire Touched By A HorseĀ® herd both human and equine and especially to Melisa Pearce, Angeline Porter, and Santana Hahn for putting me in the right emotional state to meet this challenge head-on and beat it.

My message from The Universe that inspired this writing:

Every desired change, Susan, must happen in thought first. This, of course, is the ā€œhookā€ to living in time and space.

Anyone can think happy thoughts when they’re happy, wealthy thoughts when they’re wealthy, healthy thoughts when they’re healthy. It takes someone highly unusual to imagine things differently than how they now see them; not that itā€™s hard to do, but it can seem so pointless and ineffective that most wonā€™t ever bother.

You crafted the stage youā€™re now on so that youā€™d be pushed on to discovering your power, with dreams worth pursuing and the passion to care. Ultimately learning that success comes fastest when you see through lifeā€™s illusions, to that which gives them rise: your thoughts, beliefs, and expectations.

Susan, this is what you most need to know. There haven’t been any accidents, you haven’t made any mistakes, and the perfection of everything now happening in the world and in your life, will one day boggle your mind.

Close your eyes and visualize, every single day –
The Universe

Susan, carry on, brave heart.

The right mindset is Never Gonna Let You Down.

Onward! Life Can Change Quickly
