sunset

A perfect sunset at the Touched By A Horse campus in Elizabeth, CO.

Early Monday morning I was up with diarrhea and vomiting. When this happens, I figure there was something offensive in my body that needed to be purged. I hate vomiting but usually, feel better afterward.

Sometimes our systems need purging. Whether it be emotional or physical clearing. Iā€™m guessing this was something physical because I felt off on Saturday as well.

I donā€™t think I attended an Equine Gestalt Coaching MethodĀ® Core where Melisa didnā€™t at least mention that when a client says they feel like theyā€™re going to throw up she always tells them the arena floor is dirt and easy to clean.

“All was right with the world” when Mike was fishing.

In January I drove by Hays Medical Center where Mike died. I felt it throughout my body and do now just thinking about it. I had been to the Cancer Center that is on the north side of the medical center without any sort of reaction. Driving by on the street in front of HMC was too much for my body and I couldnā€™t get away fast enough.

Our bodies react to our emotions. It may be feeling butterflies in your stomach when youā€™re anxious. It may be a tightening in the throat when there is something that you need to say that is difficult for whatever reason.

Have you ever wanted to say something but had the feeling that it wouldnā€™t be accepted well? You may get choking feeling in your throat. Your body is trying to help you hide whatever is uncomfortable for you. Usually, it is better to let the discomfort out.

Have you ever been around a person that you feel has no filter? Maybe they just have an easier time expressing their discomfort. I must admit sometimes itā€™s easier to be around someone like this ā€“ you always know how they feel about something.

Monument Rocks

The Monument Rocks know by locals as the Pyramids. This is a great place to sit in silence and breathe.

I know I often find myself in a position where I try to hold back tears. This isnā€™t particularly new Iā€™ve always been sensitive itā€™s just more often now. Why does it make me uncomfortable to tear up around other people? Does it make them uncomfortable? Why do I care so much about what other people think?

Crying, venting, hitting something are all ways to express your emotions. It can be a huge relief when you do especially when youā€™ve been holding them in for a long time. When youā€™ve been stuffing them down with whatever method you use.

The horses and I can help to open emotional pathways so they can be released in a safe place. Connect with me here for more information.

Once youā€™ve purged the system you can Breathe much easier.

Onward! Inspiration.
